Accu-weather was on the mark with the heavy rains that arrived just in time for the opening of Jittany 8. Team Blue (More Cowbell) shocked the world by firing a one under par 26 to claim the Par 3 Scramble. After a quick Hold Em elimination, GSil started dishing out a plethora of shots that would hours later leave him nearly incoherent and almost naked in a hot tub with Don - all of which easily guided him to his first Horse's Ass award. Meanwhile JBon edged Scuz in an epic 2 hour heads up Hold Em finale to give More Cowbell a big 10-4-4 lead to sleep on. A disastrous Day 2 saw More Cowbell's Jittany dreams get dashed with embarrassing showings in Bearclaw and the inaugural "This or That", an event that sparked debate, rage, sadness, and smiles. Team Purple (McPurplehan's) made a hard charge at Jittany glory on Day 2 with run away Bearclaw and "This or That" victories and a tiebreaking 2nd place finish in the also inaugural and entertaining BBQ Games. Heading into the Flip Cup finale, Purple led by 2 over Orange and 4 over Blue. McPurplehan's (aka Gang Grape, The Nurps, etc) were hoping they could scrap together a few Flip Cup wins to eek out a Jittany title but their greatest fears came true and they continually came up well short, managing one win out of 12 rounds. Haverbrah, Inc., in true Vanessa Williams-fashion, "saved the best for last" and capitalized on their team's greatest strength by cruising through the flip Cup finale for a comfortable Jittany victory over Team Purple 23-18. Blue finished third with 16 pts.
