Recap

The inagural Par 3 Scramble saw the Tighty Whities and "You're My Boy..." tie for first at two under par to kick-start the 2008 edition of The Classic. That's as close as Team Blue would ever get to Jittany glory however, managing only 8 more points the remainder of The Classic. Afterward a near housing-rental disaster was cleared up and we took residence in our first ever Jittany Mansion. In only seven years DF managed to transition the group from sharing a cramped college apartment with no A/C to a $1.5 million mansion. Weird. The "at your own pace" Jittany was now in full swing and with only Challenge Matches on the schedule for Friday night, the group headed to Wrigleyville for some day drinking. A few hours and a $600+ tab later and many Jittany Heads were back to their old tricks - Tim was forcing DJ's to play Biggie songs and requesting photos with a prepubescent boy, Thunda was getting fussy, JBon was starting Pop-A-Shot related fights, and people were befriending McDonald's managers. Once Saturday's action got under way it became a two team race with White holding a slight advantage heading into the pivotal 12-game Flip Cup finale. Not about to lose a grip on the title, White powered their way to victory in 7 of 12 Flip games. Not having a disasterous Flip Cup player on their team (see: Don, Hota) fueled their dominance and sealed the Jittany Championship 30-24-12. Other weekend highlights included the first ever Jittany player trade, White Castle binges, tourettes, the legend of Pete Jittany, and mesh shorts and tank tops. Congrats to GSil, Meek, Hayes and JBon (who picked up his second MTP) for claiming the first ever 3-team Jittany.
