After Jittany 2 there was a heavy burden on JC3 to pull the Jittany off life support and ensure a brighter future. And if there was ever a place to do that, Charlestown, Rhode Island is it. The "Route 1 Compound" was just the ticket for goodness, with its beautiful scenery and "short" walk to the beach. It was the perfect setting for honor, integrity, and tenacity, as the urine and yak flowed like wine. The highlight of the '04 games was no doubt the thrilling extra inning kickball game (held roughly 60 miles from GSil's house), won by The Astronauts in 8 innings after squandering a last inning 3-0 lead against Noodle Salad. The victory put them back in control of Jittany 3 and they took a comfortable lead into Flip Cup and held on for victory, 24-18, led by Mike Hayes, a true ambassador for the yellow jacket. This Jittany is also responsible for saving GSil's life, or at least that's what we like to think. The responsibility of hosting a Jittany took GSil from a suicide lock-of-the-week to a charming and worldly young man.
