Recap

The inaugural Jittany was widely considered a giant success, despite the Desert Storm-like conditions of the 3rd floor Phoenix apartment with no A/C, 14 guys, and 90 degree temps. GSil claimed the first ever event by easily winning the 1/4 mile race at the Penn St track, just a 6 iron (or a Hayes pitching wedge) away from Beaver Stadium. A tight-fisted contest throughout, Shane "Just a Sip" Gilliatt eventually clinched Jittany 1 with a narrow margin of victory and reclaimed the dominant form that helped him amass over 1,000 yards rushing in just 8 games at Marlboro High. The highlight event was BearClaw, which featured tremendous energy and a shirtlessly stunning Don in a death pit of Clawy goodness. Jittany 1 was capped off by a karate exhibition from Don that left pong tables and cheese whiz devastated.
